Team EUROYOUTH

At EUROYOUTH, we have a highly qualified team for preparing and managing European projects that works comfortably in domestic and international contexts to meet our commitments to clients and partners at the highest standards. We keep the team constantly up-to-date with training, seminars and conferences linked to vocational education and training, ECVET certification and Erasmus+.

The team is spread over 4 departments – Incoming, Accommodation, European Projects and Coordination. Its members have extensive experience with education and training projects and have the expertise needed to implement, develop and drive a whole variety of international projects while meeting the standards demanded by the European Commission.

The team members’ professional backgrounds and knowledge complement each other to ensure we can provide the greatest coverage and skill possible for education and vocational training. Every member of the team has higher education and is fluent in English (among other languages). At EUROYOUTH, we always work in cooperation, as a team, and have a horizontal organisational structure.

Incoming

Marta Fernandes

Head of Contact with International Partners and Incoming Programme Organisation

Marta has a bachelor’s degree in Social Policy, with further training in Social Security and Protection from the Institute of Social and Political Sciences in Lisbon. She has a Vocational Aptitude Certificate issued by the Portuguese Employment and Vocational Training Institute. She has worked as a trainee employment officer at the Portuguese Employment and Vocational Training Institute and as a ground handling assistant.  At EUROYOUTH since 2008, she is a mobility programme coordinator, providing training experiences for participants on international mobility projects who undertake traineeships, professional visits and/or courses in Portugal, as well as personal and vocational guidance. She also takes on all communication with international partners and the negotiation of programmes organised by the Incoming Department. Marta speaks English, French and Portuguese.

Madalena Mateus

Incoming Programme Organisation

Madalena has a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from ISCSP – University of Lisbon and a master’s degree in Psychology of International Relations from ISCTE – University of Institute of Lisbon.  She completed an Erasmus+ study programme at the University of Oslo, where she carried out research for her master’s degree on migration. Later, she participated in a European Voluntary Service project at Centre Social La Toupie, in France, where she worked with young people and adults. She has experience in human resources, specifically in analysing profiles, carrying out interviews and drawing up selection reports.  At EUROYOUTH, she is a coordinator for mobility programmes, providing training experiences for participants on international mobility projects who undertake traineeships, professional visits and/or courses in Portugal, as well as personal and vocational guidance. Madalena speaks English and Portuguese, as well as some French and Spanish.

Teresa Antunes

Incoming Programme Organisation and Head of Accommodation

Teresa has a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies. She started her career in administration and support for company management, and has since worked in customer assistance, team integration, coordination of marketing activities and opening international business units. She has experience in a range of sectors, from textiles to sport and health. At EUROYOUTH since 2019, she is a coordinator for mobility programmes, providing training experiences for participants on international mobility projects who undertake traineeships, professional visits and/or courses in Portugal, as well as personal and vocational guidance. She is also in charge of accommodation for foreign participants in Portugal. Teresa speaks English and Portuguese, as well as some Spanish.

European Projects and Coordination

Núria Neves

Consultancy, Drafting and Project Management

Núria has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from ISCSP – University of Lisbon and a masters’ degree in Development and International Cooperation at ISEG – University of Lisbon. She completed a curricular internship at the Jacques Delors European Information Centre where she was responsible for managing the Eurocid website and organizing competitions at EU level and events. Through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Programm called PEPAC she had the opportunity to work in the Embassy of Portugal in Beijing, China for one year. She started working at EUROYOUTH in 2019, acting as a Coordinator of International Mobility Programs, where she provided training/internship experiences and professional visits in Portugal, as well as personal and professional guidance to international participants. Since 2020, Núria started working in the Mobility Project Coordination department, where she supports the financial and projects’ execution and assisting in maintaining the quality and results of the participants’ mobility. She’s also responsible for supporting Promoters in the definition, writing and presentation of projects for financing, and their accreditations. Núria speaks English and Portuguese, as well as some Spanish.

Catarina Cid

Technical Support for Project Management

Catarina has a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, specialising in Sculpture, and a master’s degree in Museology and Museography. She has worked on education projects connected to the arts and has had organisation and logistics duties for events and exhibitions connected to the arts, including international meetings. She has extensive experience providing support to management at organisations dedicated to culture and the arts. At EUROYOUTH since 2017, she provides technical support to the European Projects and Coordination by managing documents, disseminating projects, organising actions and drawing up reports. Catarina speaks English and Portuguese.

Inês Barge

Outgoing Project Coordination

Inês has a bachelor’s degree in Languages and International Relations from the University of Porto’s Faculty of Letters and a master’s degree in Development and International Cooperation at ISEG – University of Lisbon. During her studies, she has taken part in two mobility projects: one to study at Matej Bel University (Slovakia) and a traineeship as a project analyst at the Technical University of Riga (Latvia).  She has had different experiences working with customer service and has provided educational support as a volunteer on the PASE and Possidónio + Ativa projects (run by Estrela local council in Lisbon).  At EUROYOUTH, she participates in the coordination of mobility projects, providing all the support necessary for the proper financial execution and implementation of project activities, as well as ensuring high standards and results for participants’ mobility programmes.  Inês speaks English and Portuguese, as well as some German, Slovakian and Latvian.

Administration

Ana Turcanu

Administrative, Financial and Logistic Support

Ana has a bachelor’s degree in Classical Studies – Classical Heritage of the European Culture and a postgratuation  in Translation  from the University of Lisbon Faculty of Letters. Her career has included experiences working in education, as a teacher-tutor, and education assistant. She has also worked as a freelance translator, telephone intepreter  and ground handling assistant. Also, she has volunteering experiences as  a voluntary guide at Lisbon Open house project and Buddy at speak -Language and Culture Exchange. At EUROYOUTH since 2018, she undertakes all the support for administrative, logistic and financial matters connected to managing the company, but also offers support for all the departments, by contacting  national and international partners and suppliers. Ana is a polyglot, she speaks Romanian, Portuguese, English, Spanish and Russian fluently, with some knowledge of Croatian and German.
