INCOMING SERVICES

One of EUROYOUTH’s areas of expertise is facilitating learning programmes in a mobility context, ranging from internships and language courses to technical visits and job shadowing, among others, at the request of our partners.

Organisation of Logistical Aspects of Mobility Projects

  • Accommodation in student residences or individual flats. All accommodation is self-catering with easy access to transport and shops;
  • Transport cards (service only available in Lisbon). We take care of issuing transport cards so that they are ready for participants to use on the day they arrive. Although this service is not available in Porto, all information about transport cards in this city will be provided before arrival;
  • Transfer upon arrival and departure, between accommodation and the airport or bus terminal. On arrival, the programme coordinator will be there to welcome you and provide initial information. Transport is provided by private transport;
  • Identification of travel routes. Support for participants in identifying the best routes, timetables and types of transport, as well as suitable monthly passes;
  • Delivery of pocket money, monthly, or according to the instructions of the sending organisation.

Organisation of Training Programmes

As an intermediary partner, our main tasks and responsibilities focus on organising training programmes such as:

  • Professional internships that match both the profile, skills and expectations of participants and the objectives and content of the courses they are attending/have completed;
  • Technical visits, exchanges, seminars, workshops and training courses on various topics, such as project management, vocational training, school dropout/success, approaches to specific professional sectors, soft skills, employability, etc.;
  • Intensive Portuguese language courses tailored to participants’ levels, in partnership with a language school specialising in teaching Portuguese to foreigners and certified by Portuguese Directorate-General for Employment and Labour Relations (DGERT);
  • Socio-cultural activities in Lisbon, Porto and the surrounding areas;
  • Personal and intercultural development activities, as well as participant monitoring and evaluation.

The Mentoring and Monitoring Programme in detail

Our mentoring and monitoring programmes include:

  • Informative presentation meeting on the first day of the programme;
  • Accompanying participants to interviews at host companies to meet their mentor in person, confirm internship details and familiarise themselves with the route. For other programmes, such as job shadowing and technical visits, the programme coordinator accompanies the group in all programme activities;
  • Monthly face-to-face meetings to monitor and evaluate the programme. In the case of short-term programmes, meetings are held weekly or fortnightly;
  • Regular feedback to promoters on the development of mobility programmes and internships;
  • Regular contact with company mentors for feedback, mediation, and support with documentation;
  • Support in meeting the Programme requirements: learning agreement, certificates, assessments, ECVET certification;
  • Emergency phone number available 24 hours a day;
  • Evaluation through forms completed by participants and host organisations;
  • Final report sent to the promoter with all the details of the training and logistics programme, with copies of all assessment and certification documents, photographs and a brief reflection by EUROYOUTH on each participant.
