Team EUROYOUTH

At EUROYOUTH, we have a highly qualified team for preparing and managing European projects that works comfortably in domestic and international contexts to meet our commitments to clients and partners at the highest standards. We keep the team constantly up-to-date with training, seminars and conferences linked to vocational education and training, ECVET certification and Erasmus+.

The team is spread over 4 departments – Incoming, Accommodation, European Projects and Coordination. Its members have extensive experience with education and training projects and have the expertise needed to implement, develop and drive a whole variety of international projects while meeting the standards demanded by the European Commission.

The team members’ professional backgrounds and knowledge complement each other to ensure we can provide the greatest coverage and skill possible for education and vocational training. Every member of the team has higher education and is fluent in English (among other languages). At EUROYOUTH, we always work in cooperation, as a team, and have a horizontal organisational structure.

Incoming

Marta Fernandes

Head of the Incoming Department

Marta holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Policy, with further specialisation in Social Security and Protection (ISCSP – Lisbon), and a Vocational Aptitude Certificate. Her professional background includes work as a trainee employment officer at the Portuguese Employment and Vocational Training Institute, as well as ground handling assistance in the aviation sector.

Since joining EUROYOUTH in 2008, she has coordinated mobility programmes, designed training and professional development pathways, and ensured communication and negotiation with international partners within European Programmes. She speaks Portuguese, French, English and Spanish.

Petronela Cret

Incoming Programme Organisation and Head of Accommodation

Petronela holds a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance from Aurel Vlaicu University (Arad, Romania). During her studies, she was active in the students’ association, supporting and organising academic and cultural events. After moving to Portugal in 2007, she gained experience in integrated communications, client management, executive assistance and administrative support, across sectors such as cash & carry, tourism and customer service.

She joined EUROYOUTH in 2021, coordinating mobility programmes and providing training pathways and guidance for international participants. She is also responsible for accommodation management. She speaks Romanian (native), Portuguese, English and Spanish, and has basic knowledge of Italian.

Teresa Antunes

Incoming Programme Organisation

Teresa holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Lusófona University of Humanities and Technologies. She began her career in business management and later developed significant experience in the sports and health sector, managing and training teams, providing customer service, coordinating marketing activities and supporting the opening of international business units.

Since 2019, she has coordinated mobility programmes at EUROYOUTH and provides training pathways and professional guidance for international participants. She speaks Portuguese and English, with basic knowledge of Spanish.

Ângela Freitas

Incoming Programme Organisation

Ângela holds a bachelor’s degree in Education and Training and a postgraduate specialisation in Social and Cultural Development from the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon. Her experience includes an internship in a leisure‑time activity centre, work as a Senior Education Technician and several years supporting children in vulnerable situations in a residential home.

She joined EUROYOUTH in 2023, coordinating mobility programmes and providing training pathways and professional guidance to international participants. She speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Margarida Mesquita

Incoming Programme Organisation

Margarida holds a degree in Social and Organisational Psychology from ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon, including a study period at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam through the Erasmus programme. She also completed a postgraduate qualification in Family and Conflict Mediation.

She has professional experience in social intervention, adult education, web content management, skills development and digital marketing. Between 2008 and 2012, she worked at EUROYOUTH Lisbon coordinating mobility programmes.

She returned to EUROYOUTH in November 2025, now responsible for implementing mobility programmes in Porto and managing associated logistics. She speaks Portuguese and English, with basic knowledge of Spanish and French.

European Projects and Coordination

Inês Barge

Head of Coordination & European Projects Department

Inês holds a bachelor’s degree in Languages and International Relations (University of Porto) and a master’s degree in Development and International Cooperation (ISEG – University of Lisbon). She participated in two mobility programmes during her studies, in Slovakia and Latvia. She also has experience in customer service and volunteered in educational support projects with the Estrela local council in Lisbon.

Since 2018, she has supported the coordination and financial execution of mobility projects at EUROYOUTH, ensuring the smooth implementation of activities and high‑quality participant outcomes. She speaks Portuguese and English, with basic knowledge of German, Slovak and Latvian.

Telmo Antunes

Programme coordinator

Telmo holds a degree in History with a specialisation in European Studies (University of Coimbra) and a master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations (NOVA University Lisbon). His experience includes a traineeship at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and an internship at Casa Pia in Lisbon.

He joined EUROYOUTH in January 2025, contributing to the coordination of mobility projects and ensuring proper financial execution, activity implementation and strong participant outcomes. He speaks Portuguese and English.

Sofia Gomes

Programme coordinator

Sofia holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Lisbon and a master’s degree in International European Studies from ISCTE – University Institute of Lisbon. She has participated in environmental and sustainability‑related projects in Portugal and Europe.

She joined EUROYOUTH in April 2025, supporting the coordination of mobility projects and ensuring financial compliance, activity implementation and high‑quality outcomes for participants. She speaks Portuguese, English and Spanish.

Administrative support

Rosa Oliveira

Rosa has academic training in Psychology from the University of Lisbon and extensive experience as an administrative manager in the dental medicine sector. Her background includes invoicing, office administration, HR support, client relations, scheduling, accounting, supplier management and other administrative duties. This experience and her additional certifications have strengthened her organisational, problem‑solving and time‑management skills.

She joined EUROYOUTH in September 2024, providing administrative support to all departments — incoming, coordination, accommodation and projects — and overseeing overall office management. She speaks Portuguese and English.
